*Al-Israa wal Mi'raaj*

"Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from Al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing" [Sura Al-Isra Ayah 01]
The Night Journey and Ascension is one of the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ greatest miracles and is unique to him ﷺ; taking place on this very night 1440 years ago on the night of 27th Rajab.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ travelled - in body and soul - from Makkah to Jerusalem, and then to the Heavens. Summiting at the station of two bows length or nearer; the Prophet ﷺ saw Allah and his eyes did not waver. It was here Allah gifted the Prophet's ﷺ Ummah with the five daily prayers.
This year - for the majority of us in the UK - the blessed night of Isra and Miraj falls tonight, on the evening of Wednesday 10th March (after sunset).
We are all advised to spend this blessed night in worship, repent from all sins and pray that Allah (SWT) grants the ummah relief and cure from the current pandemic. It is also recommended to observe fast tomorrow, Thursday 11th March, for those following Masjid-E-Khazra timings Sehri time ends at 4:38am.
