In the event of any bereavement, we will guide you through the full process from arranging the pickup of your loved one from the mortuary, arranging a grave, washing the deceased (ghusl) and organising transportation to the cemetery via one of our hearses.

Masjid-E-Khazra (M-E-K) Funeral Services offers a free service to the Muslims of Glasgow. M-E-K Funeral Services aim to have an open-door policy for the local community so that they can use the facilities during their time of need. All queries will be dealt with sensitively and respectfully.

Currently all Muslims burials are being carried out at the Linn Cemetery (Off Carmunnock Road, 3 Rev’d MacAulay Rd, G45 9QE).

Cathcart Cemetery (Netherlee Road, G44 3PB) is now at full capacity and only burials with prior reservation will take place there.

‘Khatams’ & ‘Kuls’ facilities

The Management Committee aim to have an open-door policy for the local community so that they can use the facilities during their time of need. All queries will be dealt with sensitively and respectfully. Worshippers are requested to respect and take care of the premises situated in the ‘House of Allah’ and to leave the premises clean and damage free.

Mosque sitting facilities can be offered, subject to availability. Mosque office MUST be informed in advance and the Facilities Booking Form MUST be completed. Please confirm from the mosque main office before confirming/announcing to your family or friends etc.

NOTE: Public attending the funeral will be expected to park their cars properly and not block the hearse, other cars or ambulance station entrance.
